The EISA Awards jury's reason in giving this prize is as follows:
“Innovation and skilful engineering are the key ingredients of this latest subwoofer from Hertz’s flagship Mille Legend line. The sophisticated motor system with its aluminium Faraday rings and ‘Smart Cooling’ strategy includes a neodymium magnet and oversized 100mm voice coil that’s wound around and inside its fibreglass former. Furthermore, Hertz’s driver features an FEA-optimised cone, basket, suspension and a unique boundary-free surround. All of this comes together to offer an unprecedented combination of linearity, power handling and dynamics from a usefully compact acoustical alignment. The Legend lives on!”
